This page requires Javascript. The problem with trying that diagnostic for printing, is that the printer has to be installed in order to attempt a diagnosis. I have gave up the attempts to install the printer on the Vista Ultimate, and now using Home Premium.
The printer installed without a hitch. I am not sure what it is about Vista Ultimate, but there had to be something that did not agree. I have installed many printers before, without a hitch until this time. While your HP printer is connected to your computer and turned on: Visit the Windows Update web site and click on "Check for updates". After the scan is complete, click on "View available updates". Hopefully, a driver for your HP printer will be offered.
