Batman beyond game 2013

Terry first met Bruce while trying to investigate his father's death. After figuring out Bruce's dual-identity, Terry "borrows" the new batsuit and becomes Batman after Bruce forbade him to do so. Part of Terry's reason is to atone for his wayward childhood, which keeps him in the suit after his father's death is solved.

The old Joker died years ago, as shown in a vital flashback, and his reappearance has everyone baffled. Terry, with Bruce's help, must discover the new Joker's identity among the handful of suspects including Bruce's Wayne Enterprise rival Johnathan Pryce and a bitter Tim Drake, one of the former Robins. Terry's quest is intensified when the Joker breaks into the Batcave and nearly kills Bruce, before later revealing his new master plan for the destruction of Gotham City.

As the film progresses, Terry learns to separate himself from being little more than an "updated" Batman, and strives to make the costume his own. The action scenes are superb as the film kicks off with a big fight between Batman and "the Jokerz", the Joker's gang of thugs.

If you enjoy Batman, regardless of the era, than you'll love 'Batman of the Future: Return of the Joker'. Donatien3 Oct 15, Details Edit. Thankfully, Batman Beyond offers a much more suitable alternative.

Like Damian, Terry is a flawed character, but instead of being raised by the League of Assassins, he spent time in juvie thanks to coercion from a former friend. His immaturity and inexperience are two significant hurdles that stand in the way of Terry truly becoming Batman and add to his charm.

Thankfully, Terry McGinnis could offer alternatives for this formula and introduce a Batman that needs real growth. Batman: Arkham Knight 's canceled sequel concept art portrays Gotham City as emptier than previous Batman: Arkham games, with buildings like Wayne Tower decrepit and abandoned.

While these designs show the progression of time, it lacks the bustle players had previously wanted to see in the Batman: Arkham games.

The game opens with the original Batman entering a warehouse to rescue a woman who has been taken hostage as shown in the first episode of Batman: Beyond.

After defeating a grup of unarmed thugs, Batman enters the warehouse's main room and takes out the hostage takers.

However, when he moves to take out the last one, his age gets the better of him and he collapses. When the thug picks up a gun and tries to shoot him, Batman disarms him and turns his gun on the thug. Vowing never to put on the Batsuit again, Batman returns the batcave.

After doing a systems check on the batcomputer, Terry puts on the batsuit and leaves to respond to a break-in at WayneTech. Once there, he sees a figure who is wearing a costume like the batsuit leaving. Terry chases him across the rooftops, but loses him when his Batline is cut by a gadget like a batarang. Terry collects it, and Bruce confirms it as an object used by his old foe Owlman. Then there is an ominous rumbling.

Terry hears from Max that Arkham Asylum had been struck by a missile, built by Waynetech. Terry rushes to Arkham Asylum. When he arrives, all the prisoners have escaped. Every criminal Terry has ever put away has been unleashed onto the streets of Neo-Gotham. Terry is accused by the guards of having released the prisoners. Commisioner Gordon places a warrant for his arrest, and Terry takes down the cops. Following the trajectory of the missile up to a cemetery, Terry finds body prints and some hair.

Collecting them as evidence, he returns to the asylum to look for more. Finding the place swarming with cops, Terry is forced to take them out silently before he can search for clues. He finds that the missile was aimed specifically at a block where most of his old enemies were being kept, all of whom had been transferred there the day before.

Then, the wall of the room Terry is in collapses, and the GoLeM unit enters. Learning that all the members of Owlman's group are meeting at the Dock's Willie would join their ranks if he managed to kill Batman , Terry heads there. He is hindered by some police snipers and is chased by a squad car, but Terry arrives at his destination. He defeats a group of thugs guarding the warehouse, and interrogates one of them.

Learning that they have already left and that each has specific orders, Terry decides to engage the nearest one; Spellbinder. Bruce and Terry fend off the Jokerz side-by-side, but the exertion aggravates his heart condition.

Terry helps Bruce back to the manor, and while staying there, he discovers the entrance to the Batcave, and later returns to "borrow" the Batsuit to avenge the death of his father. As crime and corruption are beginning once again to rear their ugly heads in Gotham, Bruce ultimately allows Terry to assume the mantle of Batman.

Terry continues the battle against crime tutored by Bruce, and aided by a new high-tech Batsuit that augments his abilities, fires Batarangs from the wrists, flies using jets fired from the feet, allows eavesdropping through a hypersensitive touch microphone, and provides camouflage abilities. However, on occasion, Terry is also forced to face his mentor's old foes, such as the atrophying Mr.

Freeze , Bane elderly, wasted, and dying from his consumption of Venom , the substance that gave him his strength , the immortal Ra's al Ghul , and even a reborn Joker. Terry's initial greatest foe is Derek Powers , a ruthless billionaire who took over Wayne Industries and was later accidentally mutated into a radioactive monstrosity known as Blight.

Powers had Terry's father, Warren McGinnis , murdered after Warren discovered that Powers was in the process of developing a biological weapons program.

The first season ended with a showdown between Batman and Blight aboard an abandoned nuclear submarine, where Powers was in hiding after his identity as Blight was revealed to the world by his ambitious son Paxton Powers , who planned to usurp his father as chairman of Wayne-Powers. Maxine "Max" Gibson born October 28, is a sixteen year-old computer genius who discovers Batman's secret identity, and helps Terry with everything from computer hacking, to babysitting, to coming up with excuses for Terry's girlfriend, Dana Tan.

Max plays an integral part in Batman's war on crime, essentially as his Alfred. Terry also finds one other ally, though a begrudging one: Barbara Gordon, the former Batgirl. In one episode, Barbara reveals to Terry that she and Bruce had once been romantically involved.

However, she is unhappy with the idea of a new Batman, especially a teenager, as she is still haunted by the same event that caused Bruce to go into isolation. However, knowing from personal experience that she cannot deter Terry anymore than she could have been deterred from being Batgirl, she relents, possibly also out of respect for her mentor and former lover, the original Batman.
